Reynolds Park Road, between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Peachtree Street, remains closed to through traffic as work now shifts to replacing the bridge that carries the road over Brushy Fork Creek. A detour is posted. Officials estimate that the road will not be reopened until July 2018, but weather could affect the schedule.

Crews recently completed work on the bridge over Salem Creek, near Peachtree Street. Crews are now preparing to demolish the existing bridge over Brushy Fork Creek, near the entrances to parking lots P and Q for Winston-Salem State University.

The shift will affect access to the Ken Carlson Boys & Girls Club and the Norfolk Southern bulk transfer rail yard, which will have to be accessed from the eastern side (i.e. Peachtree Street side) of the closure.

With completion of the bridge over Salem Creek, the detour of the Salem Creek Greenway has been lifted.

The bridges are being replaced one at a time to maintain access to the Boys & Girls Club and the rail yard. For more information, call CityLink 311.
