Planning and Development Services Department—December 20, 2018
A public kickoff meeting for the US 158/Northern Beltway Interchange Plan has been set for January 22, 2019 at the Walkertown Branch Library. The meeting will be held from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. The US 158/Northern Beltway Interchange Plan will be the first interchange plan in a series of beltway interchange plans to be prepared over the next several years.
The kickoff meeting is an opportunity for City-County planning staff to receive early input from area residents on how they would like land around the beltway interchange to develop. Citizens will discuss how they desire the area to develop in the future, particularly in relation to the design of the area.
Citizen input from the kickoff meeting will be used in developing a general design framework and design renderings for review at subsequent meetings. There will also be a future drop-in session for review and comments on a draft plan regarding the interchange. The plan will be presented to the City-County Planning Board for adoption in spring 2019.
For more information about the interchange plan including a map of the plan area boundaries, go to the US 158/Northern Beltway Interchange Plan page.
