Recreation and Parks - July 20, 2018

The free showing of "Ferdinand" in Winston Lake Park, scheduled for Saturday evening, July 21, has been postponed due to the forecast for thunderstorms in the evening. A make-up date will be announced. 

Two other free movies are also scheduled as part of the WePLAY Movies in the Park series. "Coco" will be shown at 2 p.m. Aug. 4 in the Neal Bolton Home & Garden Building on the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds in conjunction with the Community Information Fair being organized by the Community Development Department. The event includes free hot dogs, chips, popcorn and drinks. 

"The Incredibles" will be shown Aug. 18 at Jamison Park. Food trucks will be on site and pre-movie activities will begin at 6 p.m. The movie will begin at dusk. Residents should bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on.

The Movies in the Park series is being sponsored by Recreation and Parks, Community Development, and the Winston-Salem Police Department to provide a fun and safe family-friendly activity for city residents.
