Recreation and Parks - June 12, 2019

City residents can again enjoy free, family-friendly movies this summer at local parks, starting with a free showing of "Spider-Man in the Spider-Verse" on Saturday, June 15, at Ray Agnew Field on Waterworks Road, next to the Winston Waterworks aquatic park. A food truck will be on site and pre-movie activities will begin at 7:30 p.m. The movie will begin at dusk. Residents should bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on.

Also showing this summer as part of the WePLAY Movies in the Park series are "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part," July 20 at Oak Summit Park; and "Ralph Breaks the Internet," Aug. 17 at Parkland Park.

The movie series is again being sponsored by Recreation and Parks, Community Development and the Winston-Salem Police Department. For more information call CityLink 311.
