Third Street, between Chestnut and Main streets, will be closed to through traffic starting at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, to relocate a traffic signal cabinet and replace the signal pole at the intersection of Third and Church streets. Additionally, the westbound lanes of Third Street will be closed between Patterson and Chestnut streets. Vehicles will have access to the Third Street entrance to the parking deck under the Forsyth County Public Safety Center. Work is scheduled to be completed and the street reopened by Friday, Nov. 9. A detour will be posted.
Church and Chestnut streets will remain open to traffic where they cross Third Street. The traffic signal at Third and Church streets will be out of service. The traffic signals on Third Street at Chestnut and Main streets and Patterson Avenue will remain in operation. For more information call CityLink 311.
