Open House at Archie Elledge Wastewater Treatment Plant-March 26
The treated wastewater (i.e. sewage) that the Utilities Department puts back into the Yadkin River is cleaner than the raw water that it pulls out of the river for our water treatment plants. See how it happens -- to the tune of millions of gallons a day -- during this informative open house at the Archie Elledge Wastewater Treatment Plant. Presentations will be made at 5 and 6 p.m., but drop in anytime between 4:30 and 7 p.m. After each presentation visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Archie Elledge plant control room to see the plant and control systems. Light refreshments will be available. Come to the Manson Meads Complex, 2799 Griffith Road, Winston-Salem.
