Text of the Saving Energy at Sewer Plants video
Methane is one of the longest-lasting greenhouse gases. At our wastewater treatment plants, we capture the methane created in the treatment process before it escapes to the atmosphere.
Each year we capture more than 212 million cubic feet of methane from our digesters, then we use it instead of buying fuel, to reduce the cost of running our plants. It saves money, and it is good for the planet.
I'm Jon Southern at City/County Utilities, and I'm working for you.
