Greg Turner, Assistant City Manager

Greg Turner has been with the City of Winston-Salem since August 1982. After receiving a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University in 1982, Greg began as a traffic systems engineer. Subsequently, he served as traffic operations engineer, assistant director of transportation, and director of transportation.

As assistant city manager, Greg is responsible for providing management leadership over emergency management, engineering, fire, sanitation, stormwater, streets, transportation, utilities, and public transit.

Greg has been a registered professional engineer in North Carolina since 1989, has received advanced training in local government administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has served as president of the North Carolina Institute of Transportation Engineers.
