Renée P. Phillips City Secretary
Renée was promoted to City Secretary in September 1997. She is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of all official records and proceedings of the Winston-Salem City Council. Since rejoining the city in 1994, Renée has served as Business License Inspector, Financial Technician, and Workers' Compensation Analyst. She is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education. Renée is a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), and attained the entry level in the Master of Municipal Clerks Academy through the International Insitute of Municipal Clerks. She is also a member of the NC Association of Municipal Clerks. Renée is a graduate of the Leadership Winston-Salem 2002 Class. She serves as the city´s representative on the Board of Smart Start of Forsyth County.
