M/WBE Application For Certification    

Beginning in July of 2007 the City of Winston-Salem will no longer be certifying businesses as minority or woman owned.  The State of North Caroilina is instituting a Statewide Uniform Certification program (SWUC).  This program will be a "one stop" certification and will be valid throughout the state and take the place of local programs.

If you are seeking certification for a new business you are directed to the State's Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) web site.  You may certify at the State's HUB department and that certification will be recognized here in Winston-Salem for city/county construction projects.

Please go the HUB web site and follow the directons there.  If you need assistance with that process please let me know and I will be happy to assist you.

If you are already certified with the City of Winston-Salem, you will retain that certification until the SWUC program takes effect.
