What Is Emergency Management?
Emergency Management is the combined efforts of local, state, and federal governments to protect the citizens from the effects of disasters, both natural and manmade.
Our ultimate goal is to return life back to normal as soon and safe as possible.
The local Office of Emergency Management coordinates activities within Winston-Salem and Forsyth County that contribute to the mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery of disasters.
