Bowen Boulevard Realignment Project

This project provides for the relocation of Bowen Boulevard to intersect New Walkertown Road at Overlook Drive. The project also provides for improvements at the intersection of New Walkertown Road and Carver School Road. The relocation and intersection improvements will address accident problems and pedestrian safety concerns along New Walkertown Road. The relocation is approximately 900 feet long and will provide an additional left turn lane at New Walkertown Road. The intersection improvements at New Walkertown Road and Carver School Road will improve safety for motorists turning left onto Carver School Road and Winston Lake Road. Construction is underway and is anticipated to be completed by the end of November 2008.
