Fire Station Seven is home to Rescue Company One. Station Seven is located in District One. Station Seven is a two-story, two-bay station and was placed into service in 1951. Station Seven also serves as an educational center which is used for interdepartmental & extra departmental training. Station Seven has been recognized as a landmark and a central fixture of the Buena Vista neighborhood. Fire Station Seven is assigned 4 personnel each shift.
Rescue Company One is the departments Heavy Rescue / Task Force Company. Rescue Company was placed into service in July 2006 as a result of the FEMA SAFER Grant. Rescue One responds to assist other fire department companies on incidents such as: Structure Fires, Vehicle Accidents, and Hazardous Materials Incidents. Rescue Company One also assist all Truck Companies in there assigned rescue discipline such as: Structural Collapse Rescue, Trench Rescue, Water Rescue, High Angle Rescue, & Confined Space Rescue.
