City of Winston-Salem University gives citizens a better understanding of city government, including the responsibilities of various city departments and the city’s role in the community.
Topics include:
- Finance
- Sanitation
- Utilities Operations
- Streets
- Transportation
- Public Safety
- Planning
- Economic Development
- Housing
- Recreation
- Public Facilities
Students are chosen through an application process. Class size is limited. It is a 12-week course and meets once a week on Thursdays. Classes are from 6 to 9 p.m. The classes meet at City Hall and various other locations.
