Tree Removal to Close Lanes of First Street Near Five Points

Two lanes of First Street, just east of the five points intersection with North Stratford Road and Miller Street, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Tuesday, Nov. 13 for removal of four dead or dying trees and pruning of three others for power-line clearance.

Portions of the trees too large to be chipped will be stored temporarily in Stratford Park pending completion of the job, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 16. For more information, call the Vegetation Management Division at 748-3020.
