The construction schedule for building a permanent traffic island on First Street has changed. On Thursday and Friday, Aug. 23 -24, First Street will be closed to all traffic from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. while crews build a traffic island between Spruce Street and Shady Boulevard. A detour will be set up when the street is closed.
