Sanitation Collection Changes for Christmas & New Year’s Holidays

City offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 24, Tuesday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Jan. 1, in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day. Sanitation collections for both weeks will be affected.

During the week of Christmas, garbage collections will be postponed a day: Tuesday on Wednesday; Wednesday on Thursday; Thursday on Friday; and Friday on Saturday, Dec. 29.

Curbside recycling will be collected as usual on Monday, Dec. 24. Tuesday through Friday collections will be postponed a day.

Yard-waste cart collections for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be postponed until Wednesday, Dec. 26. Wednesday yard carts will be emptied on Thursday, and Thursday carts on Friday.

During the week of New Year’s Day, Tuesday garbage will be collected on Monday, Dec. 31. Wednesday through Friday collections will be held as usual. Monday yard-waste carts will be collected as usual. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday yard-cart collections will be postponed a day. Curbside recycling will be collected as usual on Monday, Dec. 31. Tuesday through Friday collections will be postponed a day.
