Liberty Street Closed Wednesday, Thursday Nights

Infrastructure repairs in the block of Sunnyside Avenue between Junia Avenue and Monmouth Street have been extended and the block will remain closed beyond the estimated completion date of Jan. 2. During sewer repairs, problems were found with the stormwater drainage system, necessitating additional work. There is not yet a new estimate for when the block will re-open.

The block of Liberty Street between Fourth and Fifth streets will be closed over night from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, to 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, and again Thursday night to Friday morning, while the Utilities Division installs new water and sewer connections. A detour will be set up.
