West End Utility Project Update

Fourth Street between Broad and Burke streets is now reopened.

Construction will begin Monday, August 20, on Fourth Street between Burke Street and Brookstown Avenue; and on Summit Street between Fifth and Sixth streets. Detours will be set up. Construction should last about three weeks on Fourth Street and two days on Summit Street.

On Wednesday, August 22, construction will begin on Summit Street between Sixth and Manly streets. A detour will be set up. Construction should last about three weeks.
The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in most of the West End neighborhood. Work is expected to last through July 2008.
