West End Utility Project Update

Construction will resume December 31 on West End Boulevard between Forsyth and Glade streets. Detours are posted.

Construction crews will also replace manhole rings and covers at various locations on Summit Street and Carolina Avenue. These roads will remain open; flagmen will be available to direct traffic. Construction should last one week.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in most of the West End neighborhood. Work is expected to last through July 2008.
