City Offering Business Training

The city’s Minority/Women’s Business Enterprise office is offering a free nine-week business training program for people interested in starting a small business or who recently started one.
Topics include market analysis, writing a business plan, applying for financing, legal issues, bookkeeping & taxes, business insurance, and more. The course will also include information on how to apply for a city loan for your business.
The program starts Oct. 16 and will wrap up Dec. 18. Classes will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evenings at the Anderson Center on the campus of Winston-Salem State University.
