Protocol for Public Forum with Chief Candidates

City residents are invited to meet and pose questions to the four finalists to become the city’s next police chief during a public forum at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, in the City Hall Council Chamber.

The forum will be moderated by Chuck Rohre and Andrea Battle Sims of The Waters Consulting Group. The candidates will each make a 3-minute opening statement, after which they will field questions in the order in which citizens signed up at the door. Sign-ups will begin at 7 p.m.

Citizens may ask one question, directed to a particular candidate or all four. After all citizens who signed up have had their turn, others who did not sign up may ask a question, and after that citizens may ask a second question, as time allows.

The forum will be televised live by WSTV 13, the Government Channel on TimeWarner Cable in Forsyth County. The forum will be webcast over the city Web site and can be viewed on demand afterwards.
