Public Hearing Scheduled on Front-Lawn Parking Ordinance

The Winston-Salem City Council will hold a public hearing Monday, July 7, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, Room 230, 101 N. Main Street, Winston-Salem, for the purpose of adopting a proposed ordinance that would prohibit parking on residential front lawns without a permit and an approved parking pad. Violators would be assessed a civil penalty of $25 per vehicle. Exceptions would be allowed for special events.
