Topics Sought for East Ward Town Hall Meeting

East Ward Council Member Joycelyn V. Johnson is asking her constituents to suggest topics for a town hall meeting she will hold at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in the City Hall Council Chamber, 101 N. Main St.

Johnson would like East Ward residents to:

• Identify four areas in their neighborhood that they think need attention in 2009.

• Identify areas in Winston-Salem that concern them.

• Suggest goals and strategies to implement those areas that need attention.

• Spread the word about the meeting.

Members of the city staff will attend the meeting and will be available to address residents’ concerns.

Citizens with suggestions should respond by Thursday, Oct. 30 by calling 727-2224. Suggestions may also be sent by email to yolandat@cityofws.org, or faxed to 727-2880.
