West Salem Utility Project Update

Work will take place on Monday, June 30, through Thursday, July 3, on Cotton Street between Salem Pointe Lane and Albert Street; and on Gregory Street between Wachovia and Bank streets. Residents are asked not to park on the street but in their driveways.

The intersection of Wachovia and Granville streets will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, June 30 and July 1.

Wachovia Street, between Apple and Granville streets, will be closed to through traffic Wednesday and Thursday, July 2-3.

Franklin Street remains closed to through traffic from Green to Granville streets.

Detours will be posted for all closures.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in part of the West Salem neighborhood. Work is expected to last through July 2009.
