West Salem Utility Project Update

Utilities Division - Nov. 14, 2008

Construction on Beaumont Street between Wachovia and Apple streets, and on Granville Drive between Franklin and Wachovia streets will be completed and the streets will reopen to traffic on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

Also on Wednesday, construction will begin on Wachovia Street between Granville Drive and Beaumont Street and on Gregory Street between Bank and Wachovia streets. Work is expected to take two to three weeks. Detours will be posted for all closed streets.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in part of the West Salem neighborhood. Work is expected to last through December 2008.
