West Salem Utility Project Update

Construction on Gregory Street between Bank and Wachovia streets was delayed in its completion last week and now is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday, Dec. 16. On Wednesday, Dec. 17, construction will begin on Beaumont Street between Franklin and Wachovia streets. Work is expected to take three weeks.

Construction on Wachovia Street between Granville Drive and Beaumont Street will continue for about one more week.

Work on Bank Street between Gregory Street and Peters Creek Parkway, which had been scheduled to start last week, has been postponed.

Detours are posted for all closed streets.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in part of the West Salem neighborhood. Work is expected to last through December.
