West Salem Utility Project Update

Construction on Wachovia Street, between Apple and Granville streets and Apple Street between Green and Granville streets is completed and those blocks are open to traffic.
On Monday, June 21, construction on Apple Street will shift to the block between Granville and Cotton streets. Work is expected to take three weeks. A detour will be posted.

Construction continues on Franklin Street between Granville and Beaumont streets. Work is expected to be completed in about a week.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in part of the West Salem neighborhood. Work is expected to last through July 2009.
