West Salem Utility Project Update

Construction on Franklin Street will shift on Monday, July 7, to the block between Granville and Beaumont streets. Construction is expected to take three weeks. Work on the block between Green and Granville streets is finished and that portion of Franklin Street is open to traffic.

Construction continues on Wachovia Street between Apple and Granville streets and on Apple Street between Green and Granville streets.

Detours are posted for all closed streets.

The Utilities Division is replacing aging water and sewer lines in part of the West Salem neighborhood. Work is expected to last through July 2009.
