Family Representative's Statement

Police Department - Oct. 8, 2009

The family of Sgt. Mickey Hutchens made the following statement to the news media Thursday afternoon, Oct. 8:

"The family of Sgt. Mickey Hutchens would like to thank the community for their overwhelming support and prayers. We'd like to thank our Winston-Salem Police, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, NC Highway Patrol, Yadkin County Sheriff's Office, Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, and Wake Forest Police families for the love and encouragement they have shown us during this time. We would also like to say thank you to Mrs. Hutchens' extended family at Wake Forest University and our church families. We ask you to pray for Mickey and Officer Daniel Clark, his wife, and their unborn baby. We are eternally grateful to Officer Clark for his bravery."
