Downtown Buildings to be Demolished

The old drug store building at 116 W. Fourth Street and office building behind it at 115 W. Third Street will be demolished. Contractors could begin demolition as early as this weekend.

The city acquired both buildings as part of its downtown redevelopment efforts. Demolishing the buildings will prepare the land for future development. In the meantime, the lots will be sodded to provide additional green space downtown.
