  Video Specialist    

 Larry Bell, Jr.

 

Larry Bell´s experience includes 17 years as a photojournalist. He spent eight of those in Winston-Salem working with Fox 8 WGHP. With WSTV 13 since 1999, his knowledge and understanding of the electronic news gathering business has repeatedly left him staring down the viewfinder of exclusive video. Larry´s talent as a videographer and nonlinear editor is seen in the numerous 3CMA (City County Communications and Marketing Association) award winning programs the station has produced.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and a masters degree in Instructional Technology, both from North Carolina A&T State University.

 Billy Rich

 

Billy Rich began his television experience at WGN in Chicago in 1970. A series of broadcast news jobs brought Billy from the Phil Donahue show to WXII News12 in the Twin City. There he worked 15 years as a videographer and reporter.
With WSTV13 since 1989, Billy is involved in every aspect of production. He coordinates all of the remote productions as well as being the primary shooter for eng shoots. Billy is credited with coordinating the stations first live off-site production. His mastery of the technology behind the scenes makes him a valuable asset in providing the public with information about the city of Winston-Salem.
Billy received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio Telvision and Film from Columbia College in Chicago.


 

        

        Producer 

Frank Elliott

Frank Elliott has more than 10 years of experience writing and producing for television, in addition to his 25-plus years of writing professionally for newspapers, magazines and public relations. His television credits include "Mission Excellence: The Governor’s School of North Carolina" (1996) and "Total Quality Government," (1997), both produced for the UNC Center for Public Television. In 2000 he joined the staff of WSTV 13, where he has written and produced a number of award-winning documentaries and public service announcements, including "Reynoldstown: A Community Story" (2000), "The Yadkin & You," (2001), and "Chasing the Clouds: The Story of Smith Reynolds Airport." (2004). He also is the writer/producer of "13 on 13" and he serves as the deputy director of the city’s Marketing and Communications Department.
