Design & Development Review

The Design and Development Review Team is made up of planners and design professionals who provide services to process and review changes to the zoning of land within Forsyth County or to the Unified Development Ordinances.

We review land planning designs that are submitted as rezoning petitions, final development plans, and subdivisions. We also review public and private sector developments that are submitted to the Community Appearance Commission for comment. Our staff provide development information, zoning and topography maps, and aerial photography to the public at our customer service counter, over the telephone, and through the Planning Board website. In addition, we provide street naming services and support for the 911 emergency dispatch system.

Our goal is to assist the citizens and the development community in understanding, utilizing, and improving the process of creating and maintaining productive and responsible land development in our County and its municipalities.
