Homicide

The Homicide Division consists of (8) homicide detectives, (2) of which are assigned to  work primarily on cold case homicide investigations. All homicide detectives are supervised by the homicide section sergeant and lieutenant. The homicide division works closely with the Medical Examiner's Office in determining the cause of death as well as the District Attorney's Office in prosecuting offenders. The homicide division personnel investigate homicides and suspicious deaths, as well as certain other crimes.  Detectives respond to these incidents 24 hours a day as needed.
