Special Population's Clubs
Stroke Victors' Club The Stroke Victors' Club is a daytime social support group of people who have survived a stroke. In addition to exercise, the group enjoys games, crafts, going out to eat and outings to community events. The group meets every Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the 14th Street Recreation Center. The Saturday Club The Saturday Club meets the third Saturday of every month for social activities that fulfill the social needs of children with special needs ages 11 - 20. Cost, meeting times and locations vary. For more information call Ann Haynes, the club coordinator, at 727-2315.
Poke Easy Club The Poke Easy Club is a social club for adults with disabilities. Club members enjoy social activities and perform community service projects. Membership is open to anyone seeking friendship, fellowship, and understanding. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at Miller Park Recreation Center from 7 to 9 p.m. For more information call Tamecka Smith, the club advisor, at 727-2505.
