Tim Grant, Director
Tim oversees the
Recreation
and Parks Department's
programs,
facilities and staff.
Tim also serves
as staff advisor for
the Recreation
and Parks Commission.

Denise Scott-Johnson,
Assistant Director
Denise oversees the operation
of the City's 17 recreation
centers/summer recreation
sites and the Special
Populations Unit. Denise
coordinates WinstonNet
and the Weed and
Seed Initiative for the

Park Superintendent

This position oversees
the maintenance division
of recreation and parks

Special Projects Coordinator

Mike oversees the department's budget,
Capital Plan, Fiscal Management &
special projects.

Haley Gingles,
Senior Community Educator
Haley produces the
department's television
show, designs and maintains
the web site and coordinates
the production of the
WePLAY publication. She
also accepts request
for departmental displays.

Dick Butler,
Athletics Supervisor
Dick oversees the
operation of the City's
pools, Salem Lake and
Hobby Park. He administers
volleyball and city-county
golf tournaments. Dick is
also charged with coordinating
the use of soccer fields.

Todd oversees operation
of the Joe White Tennis
Center and coordinates
softball, flag football,
dodgeball and special
department projects. He
also schedules the use
unlighted & lighted softball
fields.

District I Supervisor

Ron serves as the
District Supervisor. He
oversees the operation
of Carl Russell, Reynolds
Park, Hanes Hosiery,
William C. Sims,
Polo Park, 14th Street,
Brown and Douglas,
Rupert Bell and Old town.
He also coordinates citywide recreation

Kerry Mowery,
District II Supervisor
Kerry serves as the
District Supervisor.
He oversees the operation
of Miller Park, Sprague Street,
South Fork, Sedge Garden,
Martin Luther King
Jr, Georgia Taylor,
Belview and Little Creek.
He also coordinates 
                     citywide recreationcenter events.

Ellen Kutcher
Bethabara Park  Supervisor
Oversees the operation
of Historic Bethabara Park.
Duties include planning the
special activities that begin
in April and run through
November.
Bobbie Russell,
Accounting Technician
Bobbie is the Accounting
Technician and is
responsible
for the department´s
payroll; accounts
payable and
receivable.

Linda Harrison,
Admin. Secretary
Linda serves as the
Administrative Secretary for the
department. Her duties include
handling reservations for Corpening
Plaza, Grace Court and the issuance
of block party applications. Linda

Shelter Rental Agent

Joyce serves as one
of the department´s
receptionist. She also
accepts reservations for the city´s
picnic shelters.
