Forest Park 4th Graders are the Newest Adopt A Stream Group
Fifty-seven 4th grade students from Forest Park Elementary school braved a cold January morning to pick up trash. Teacher, Alex Ray, coordinated the project that brought students from all five 4th grade classes, which have adopted an ephemeral stream that runs across the school property.
Students were surprised at the amount of trash they found because, looking out over the area, there didn't look to be too much to pick up. But ten full bags of trash showed them that there was a lot more litter then they thought. They all agreed that they would think twice before littering again.
A big thank you goes out to the students of Alex Ray, Courtney Rothwell, Kim Tate, Sheralee Baker, and Lily Hse for all their good work!
