PRIVATE STREETS INFORMATION

The Winston-Salem City Council is considering amending the ordinance concerning converting private streets to city-maintained streets.  The proposed ordinance change requires that a private street have water and sewer installed and at least 40 feet of public right-of-way to qualify for assistance in bringing the street up to city standards.  The list below is of private streets that appear to meet these qualifications.  Further investigation by city staff will be required to confirm these qualifications if the ordinance change is passed by the City Council.
