Cemeteries Division

The city's Cemetery Division respectfully provides necessary and requested services and products to bereaved, at-need, and pre-need families in a cost-effective manner.

The Cemetery Division only regulates cemeteries owned and operated by the City of Winston-Salem, which are Woodland and New Evergreen Cemeteries. Privately owned, for-profit cemeteries are regulated by the North Carolina Cemetery Commission in Raleigh, NC. Family-owned private cemeteries and church cemeteries within the city are regulated by their own appointed boards.
