NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY/COUNTY UTILITY COMMISSION
TO CONSIDER AND ADOPT AN APPROPRIATE VERIFIABLE
PERCENTAGE GOAL FOR PARTICIPATION BY MINORITY AND WOMEN OWNED
BUSINESSES IN THE TOTAL VALUE OF WORK TO BE AWARDED FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF 36” RAW WATER PIPELINE REPAIRS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 143-128 (e) that
the City/County Utility Commission will hold a public hearing in Room 230, City Hall Building, 101 North Main Street, Winston-Salem, North Carolina at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 13, 2010, to consider and adopt an appropriate verifiable percentage goal for participation by minority and women owned businesses in the total value of work to be awarded for construction of 36” Raw Water Pipeline Repairs.

All parties in interest and citizens are invited to attend said hearing at which time they shall have the opportunity to be heard concerning the consideration and adoption of the above referenced goal.

At the end of the public hearing, the City/County Utility Commission shall adopt the minority and women business participation goals for the construction contract to be awarded for the above mentioned project.

All requests for appropriate and necessary auxiliary aids and services, must be made within a reasonable time prior to the activity to Angela I. Carmon, the City’s ADA Coordinator at (336)727-2056 or T.D.D. (336) 727-8319.
