White Goods and Other Wastes

The Division recycles "white goods" (refrigerators, stoves, etc.) through contracts with private vendors. Tires are also recycled through a contract with Central Carolina Tire Disposal, Inc. “White goods” and tire recycling is processed at the Hanes Mill Landfill, located on Hanes Mill Road in Winston-Salem.

Directions to the Hanes Mill Landfill

From Highway 52 Southbound, exit right onto Hanes Mill Road. Bear to the right and the landfill is immediately on your right.

From Highway 52 Northbound, exit right onto Hanes Mill Road. Turn right onto Hanes Mill Road, go across the bridge and the Landfill will be the first business on the right.
