The authority for establishing the Citizens' Baseball Stadium Review Committee was created by a resolution adopted by the City Council on July 6, 2009. |
| Purpose/Function |
The purpose of the Citizens' Baseball Stadium Review Committee shall be to provide public oversight of the expenditure of City funds for Baseball Stadium construction. Following construction the Committee shall review quarterly financial statements and attendance figures related to the operation of the Baseball Stadium for the purpose of assessing the project’s ability to repay the City. The Committee shall also prepare reports for the City Council and the public regarding the above two purposes. |
| Method of Appointment |
The members are appointed by the City Council upon recommendation of the Mayor. All members shall be residents of the city. Members shall have experience in the following fields; institutional or commercial construction, engineering/architecture, financial management, banking, sports management and marketing/promotions. There shall be at least three: general members who represent the citizenry at large. |
