Special Olympics Athletes Receiving $100 in Finish Line Athletic Gear
Ten Special Olympics Forsyth County athletes will receive $100 worth of athletic gear at the Finish Line store in the Concord Mills shopping center, courtesy of the Finish Line Youth Foundation.
The athletes will visit the store on Dec. 10 and will be able to use the $100 for athletic shoes, apparel or accessories. The athletes were chosen by Special Olympics Forsyth County on the basis of sportsmanship, attitude and need, said Lisa Kiser, the local Special Olympics coordinator.
“The athletes are super excited and thankful for the chance to receive brand new athletic merchandise,” Kiser said.
The Youth Foundation selected 23 Finish Line locations this year to offer the shopping sprees as part of its ongoing partnership with Special Olympics nationwide. Concord Mills was the only Finish Line location selected in North Carolina.
Through Dec. 31, Finish Line is collecting donations for Special Olympics from customers at more than 600 Finish Line stores.
