CityLink - June 5, 2017

CityLink, the city’s citizen service call center, will mark its 10th anniversary and answer its three-millionth call in July and is holding a "Name that Call" contest to celebrate the occasion.

Now through July 2, city residents are invited to predict the subject of the three-millionth call (e.g. a malfunctioning traffic light, a pothole or a missed garbage collection) and the time of day (morning, afternoon or evening) that the call will arrive. The winner will receive a city gift basket with four tickets to the Dixie Classic Fair, a summer pass to all city pools, a day pass for Winston Lake Golf Course, gift certificates for the Fairgrounds Farmers Market, the Cricket’s Nest Craft Shop and the Downtown Arts District, and more. Another gift basket will be awarded to the person who places the three-millionth call.

There is no cost to enter. Citizens may enter once per week through midnight July 2. Entries must be submitted using the online form posted at CityofWS.org. If there is more than one correct entry, the winner will be chosen at random from the correct entries.

CityLink will observe its 10th anniversary on July 2. CityLink provides citizens with a single point of contact for requesting city services, making suggestions, paying city bills and reporting problems. CityLink can be reached by calling 311 or 727-8000, or by live chat, email, web intake or social media, or with the CityLink smartphone app.

City Link is staffed 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. When CityLink is closed, non-911 emergency calls are forwarded to on-call staff with the appropriate department. For more information call City Link 311 or go to CityofWS.org.
