The Winston-Salem Traffic Field Operations Division will hold a job fair on Friday, Jan. 25, to fill more than 20 vacancies for backhoe operators, dump truck drivers and Jet-Vac truck operators. The job fair will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Home & Garden Building. Attendees should enter Gate 9 on 27th Street. In the event of snow, the fair will be held Feb. 1.
Candidates for all positions must have a commercial driver’s license or a permit for a Class A or Class B CDL.
Attendees will have a short interview and be asked to demonstrate their skills. Those who successfully complete the assessment will be invited to fill out a job application. Attendees should bring their CDL license or permit, a resume or employment history, references and identification.
Human Resources representatives will be available to explain the full range of city benefits and answer questions about the hiring process and working for the city.
