Information and online comment form

The city of Winston-Salem is exploring options to sell the LJVM Coliseum and Bowman Gray Stadium to save the city the expense of operating and maintaining these facilities, pay off existing debt and enable the city to address other pressing capital needs.

The Public Assembly Facilities Commission, on behalf of City Council, will host four public input sessions on the potential sales:

  • Wednesday, April 10, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bowman Gray Stadium Fieldhouse;
  • Thursday, April 11, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Deacon Room at the LJVM Coliseum;
  • Tuesday, April 16, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Bowman Gray Stadium Fieldhouse; and
  • Tuesday, April 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Deacon Room at the LJVM Coliseum.

Attendees will have an opportunity to comment about either facility at any session.

Those who cannot attend a session can read about the potential sales and leave comments through an online form or by calling the Citizen Feedback Line at 734-1400. The information and form will be available beginning April 10 at www.CityofWS.org.
