Citizens interested in the redevelopment of Union Station are invited to participate in a public input workshop Tuesday, June 17, on how to use space in the station that will not be needed for the transportation facility planned for the building.

The workshop will begin at 6 p.m. at the Ishi Pentecostal Temple, which is adjacent to the station at 1319 Excelsior St. A representative of the city’s architectural consultant will lead the workshop. City staff will be available to assist and answer questions.

The city plans to restore Union Station, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, as a transportation facility. It initially would serve as a regional and local bus terminal and later could be expanded for regional and long-distance passenger rail service. The station is located at 300 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. For more information, call CityLink 311.
