Citizens can now request a police representative or McGruff at their event with an online form posted on the Police Department’s Community Resource Unit page.
The form allows citizens to request, 24 hours a day, a speaker, an officer, the crime prevention unit or McGruff, the crime-fighting dog, at their event. The department still accepts requests over the telephone during normal business hours, but prefers that citizens use the form if they have Internet access.
