Emergency Management - Nov. 5, 2013
A Forsyth County multi-agency public safety disaster-response drill will be conducted at the Smith Reynolds Airport in Winston-Salem on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Forsyth County Emergency Services will be the lead agency for this exercise.
During the drill, a large volume of emergency response traffic and activity will be visible in the area. A large fire will be lit during the exercise. Residents in the area should not be alarmed as this is a part of the exercise training. The exercise will help city and county public safety agencies better understand how to respond to an aircraft emergency at Smith Reynolds Airport. For more information, contact CityLink 311.
