City of Winston-Salem University

Graduation: April 18, 2016

Applicants will be selected for the City of Winston-Salem University using four criteria:

  • Justification for participating
  • Leadership potential
  • Diversity
  • Residency - City of Winston-Salem residents receive first priority, then Forsyth County residents.  

Request CEUs (Continuing Education Credits)

CEUs are sponsored by Winston-Salem State university, a member of the UNC Higher Education System. The purpose of CEUs is to maintain licensure from certification bodies, professional societies, or governmental licensing boards. These professions may include:

  • Teacher and educators
  • Architects and engineers
  • Health care professionals
  • Social workers
  • Community service professionals

  • Attend 10 of 12 sessions (cannot miss more than 2 classes)
  • attend at least one City Council or Council Committee meeting
  • complete a ride-along with the Winston-Salem Police Department
  • Complete a group budget project
  • Visit a city facility: tour a predetermined recreation site, a utility facility, or City Link.

By checking the box below, you certify that every statement is correct, and agree to meet the requirements. Failure to meet the requirements will result in being dismissed from the current session and could result in disqualification from attending any future CWSU sessions.
